I honestly can’t believe 2025 is almost over. Just two weeks left and we’ll be into a NEW YEAR. Where did the time go?
It was definitely a whirlwind, though I will say, planning new collections all year long has a way of making time fly.
The first collection of 2025 was Valentine’s Day. I brought back some favorites and created a few new designs, along with a greeting card or two and some stickers. I’ll be honest — it was by no means a viral hit, but I was proud of it. Looking back, I think the biggest weakness of that collection was that it wasn’t very cohesive. Even though it was called Valentine’s Day 2025, it didn’t really feel like a collection. The designs felt more separate than connected.
Next up was Easter. There were a few really fun designs in that collection, but Easter just doesn’t seem to be a big T-shirt buying holiday. That said, there were one or two designs that I absolutely loved, and I’m really glad I created them.
After Easter, it was time for Pride 2025. This year I tried something different by offering designs on shirts other than black. Yes, rainbow Pride colors look amazing on black, but not everyone likes to wear black, so I wanted to offer options for those folks too. Pride did well, and I loved all the designs, but once again, I don’t feel like it was a truly cohesive collection. The unifying factor was Pride itself, not necessarily the style or overall design language.
Then came the BlockBearsters Collection. Sadly, this collection didn’t do well, which surprised me. However, I will say this: it was extremely cohesive. For the first time, it felt like a Naughty Bear collection built around one overarching idea. I learned a lot from designing that collection, even if the sales didn’t reflect it.
After BlockBearsters, it was Halloween 2025. Designing this collection was a little difficult for me. I LOVE Halloween and have so many ideas for the season that narrowing things down was harder than expected. I did my best, but for 2026, I know I need to fine-tune the concept even more.
Then we moved into Naughtsgiving 2025. In my opinion, this collection was very cohesive, but once again, it didn’t really connect with the general public. I won’t lie, I was a little disappointed by the reception, but still really pleased with the collection itself.
The final collection of the year was Naughtmas 2025, which is obviously still available. Naughtmas 2025 is a celebration of holiday movies and seasonal icons. Overall, the reception has been average. I was surprised that one or two designs I thought would be big hits didn’t resonate the way I expected. That said… there’s still time, so why not head over and check out Naughtmas 2025?
Looking ahead, 2026 is going to be a bit of a rebrand for Naughty Bear. Future collections will be more cohesive and will (hopefully) include a mix of shirts, stickers, greeting cards, tumblers, and a few surprises.
As I wrap up 2025, I just want to say thank you. Thank you to everyone who purchased an item, commented on a post, liked a post, or simply visited the website. I truly appreciate every bit of support, you’re the reason this is all worth it.
Drop a comment and let me know what you’d love to see from Naughty Bear in 2026.
